This is a primarily a residential neighborhood,and has an intense commercial life on its popular and well known Avenida Cabildo, which also has many bars and restaurants
The green subway line D links it to downtown in 30 minutes, in addition the area has an extensive line of buses and two train lines.
In this neighborhood there are several universities such as University of Belgrano, Di Tella University City.
To the west of the shopping area is the area known as Belgrano R, This upper-class residential area is home to several embassies and many bilingual schools.
Belgrano also has a very popular China Town located beside the Belgrano Central train Station.
